GreenSource is part of Ecosystem Investment Partners (EIP) team on the Lower Kissimmee Basin Stormwater Treatment Area. The goal of the project is to reduce the phosphorus load headed to Lake Okeechobee.

A new stormwater treatment area (STA) will be designed, constructed, and operated in order to reduce the threat of harmful algae blooms in South Florida by capturing water from the Kissimmee River and other water sources before the runoff and nutrients are discharged into Lake Okeechobee.

The project has been broken up into two phases, the first being analysis, feasibility, and preliminary design. Phase two being final design and permitting, construction, facility start-up and finally operations.
