The PR3 Reservoir is a 1200-acre project located south of Arcadia, FL along the western side of the Peace River adjacent to the Peace River Manasota Water Supply Authority’s (PRMRWSA) Water Treatment Plant. The 9 billion gallon above ground reservoir facility’s construction was necessitated by the increased demand for potable water within the Southwest Florida region served by PRMRWSA. GreenSource was brought into the ongoing project to facilitate and coordinate the complex construction scenario involving state and federal permitting processes. GreenSource staff participated in meetings with all permitting agencies, wetland delineation and assessment field activities, evaluation of a myriad of wetland mitigation scenarios, and coordination of all agency permit submittals and follow-up responses.

GreenSource was prominently involved assisting PRMRWSA in obtaining a Formal Wetland Determination, State of Florida Conceptual and Individual Environmental Resource Permits and coordinating with US Fish and Wildlife Service for Biological Opinions/Habitat Conservation Plans covering federal endangered and threatened species habitats that were within the project area.
